A Sheepishly Good Time in the Sierra Nevada Mountains
Markleeville, CA — April 10, 2025...Nestled in the scenic Sierra Nevada mountains between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park, Woollystar Music Festival is back this summer, June 12–15, 2025, at the beloved Woollystar Ranch in Markleeville, California. The festival just unveiled a dynamic and eclectic lineup that promises to once again make Woollystar one of the most intimate, heartfelt, and unforgettable gatherings of the summer.

Anchoring the weekend is Grammy Award-winning Tex-Mex legends Los Texmaniacs, bringing their signature blend of conjunto, Texas rock, blues, and R&B to the ranch stage. Also joining the lineup is the spellbinding singer-songwriter Maya de Vitry, whose soulful sound bridges country, indie rock, and folk, alongside beloved California troubadour Willy Tea Taylor, known for his poignant storytelling and cowboy-hearted roots.
Festival host ISMAY will take the stage for a special songwriter-in-the-round show honoring the music of Lucinda Williams, joined by California native Francesca Brown, whose voice evokes the spirit of Emmylou and Loretta.
The 2025 roster also features Oregon’s award-winning folk duo Fellow Pynins, San Francisco-based indie songwriter Meli Levi, sound artist and composer Sheena Dham of Oakland, and LA-based rising country band Western Medicine.
Beyond music, Woollystar offers an enriching weekend of yoga, nature hikes, an open mic, and film screenings, along with music workshops for all ages and skill levels—blending creativity, connection, and community.
